Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
  • Experience in a wine tasting environment required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Responsible Beverage Service certificate required
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient with retail software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance
  • Must communicate effectively and work in team environment

Job Duties

  • Provides hands-on support and assigns daily tasks
  • Ensures employees have proper tools and monitors output
  • Leads by example fostering a strong work ethic and trust
  • Guides team to use resources efficiently and avoid waste
  • Communicates clearly and follows up on assignments
  • Reports staffing needs to supervisor
  • Ensures safety and cleanliness
  • Supports company change initiatives
  • Communicates employee issues confidentially
  • Maintains company and regulatory compliance
  • Assigns and monitors employee breaks and provides backup relief
  • Provides daily feedback and reports performance
  • Coordinates with leadership on winery issues
  • Handles customer concerns objectively
  • Orders wines, merchandise, and supplies
  • Opens and closes the Tasting Room
  • Updates bar menu and POS materials
  • Performs Tasting Room hosting duties
  • Greets visitors and pours wines
  • Describes wine, techniques, and history
  • Suggests and sells products
  • Handles POS transactions
  • Provides direction when manager is away
  • Performs other assigned duties
