Job Requirements

  • 3 years of professional sushi experience, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki preparation
  • Proven leadership experience in a culinary setting
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
  • Must be able to work weekends and flexible hours, including holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in developing and executing sushi menu items with precision and creativity
  • Lead and train sushi prep and line cooks, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving of sushi-specific ingredients
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of raw fish and other perishable items
  • Collaborate on plating, presentation, and seasonal specials
  • Support a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
