Job Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and professionally
  • minimum 3-5 years of work experience as a lead sommelier or manager in a luxury dining establishment
  • advanced knowledge of wines including vintages, regions, and varietals
  • sommelier certification is a plus
  • cigar knowledge is a plus
  • ability to work efficiently and within a team environment
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licensing or active work cards required
  • applicants must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Maintain the outlet wine list
  • control wine costs
  • maintain wine storage areas
  • liaise with the wine administrator to keep accurate inventory
  • train outlet staff in proper wine service
  • communicate clearly and professionally with guests
  • provide excellent guest service according to Wynn Las Vegas standards
