Job Requirements

  • College degree, preferably in Hotel/Restaurant Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury hotels or upscale restaurants
  • Formal Wine and Spirits Training Certificate or Diploma
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beverage service, and guest service standards
  • Proficiency in English
  • computer literacy and familiarity with food and beverage systems

Job Duties

  • Curate and select wines that align with the property and outlet concepts
  • Lead, motivate, and train the team in wine knowledge and service standards
  • Serve wine with proper pouring, decanting, and presentation techniques
  • Ensure all wines and beverages are served at the correct temperatures
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond to inquiries, and provide personalized service
  • Manage wine inventory, storage, and rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in wine service areas
  • Collaborate with employees and managers to meet operational needs
  • Support guest satisfaction by handling special requests, complaints, and public relations with professionalism
