Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent guest service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Basic math skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality, tourist attractions, and guest service excellence
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to be solutions oriented
- The ability to perform essential functions and use a computerized point of sale system
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to stand up and down for more than three hours at a time
- Ability to de-escalate, be organized, and handle busy operations
- Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
- Basic math skills required
Job Duties
- Leading the completion of opening, midday, and closing checklists by the serving staff to ensure all tasks are carried out efficiently and accurately
- Conducting regular inspections of the dining area and service stations to maintain cleanliness and organization, in compliance with safety and health regulations
- Collaborating with food and beverage management to implement and enforce policies related to service standards, guest satisfaction, and staff conduct, fostering a positive and professional work environment
- Delivering a warm and welcoming experience to every guest, providing attentive and exceptional service throughout their visit
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of menu items, including curated cocktails, and confidently making recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Work as the Lead Server under the guidance of the Banquet Captain, for private events, promotional/consumer events, and meetings to ensure set-up, service, and breakdown tasks are being completed
- Ability to be the point of contact to clients and guests for food service during private events and promotional/consumer events
- Adherence to all food safety and health practices
- Adherence to all Washington State Liquor Laws, including the practice of valid ID checks
- Taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are accommodated with care
- Collaborating closely with bussers, food runners, and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Proactively addressing any guest concerns or feedback, going above and beyond to exceed expectations and resolve issues swiftly
- Other duties as assigned by management
