Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
- minimum of one year experience preferred in upscale dining hospitality or senior living service
- ability to handle multiple priorities
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- competent organizational and time management skills
- good judgment problem-solving and decision-making skills
- ability to comply with safety and regulatory requirements including completion of driving job description if driving for Sunrise
- willingness to undergo drug testing and comply with vaccination requirements as mandated by law

Job Duties
- Provides support to servers in daily dining room operations
- trains new servers on the 10 Steps of Service
- maintains knowledge of menu items and describes them to residents and guests
- assists residents with menu selections and answers questions
- takes and serves meal and beverage orders according to guidelines
- responds to the dining needs of residents and guests maintaining hospitality standards
- attends pre-meal briefings to learn about meals and support activities
- follows all food handling regulations
- maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area
- performs dining room checklist inspections to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- maintains side work duties
- keeps assigned tables clean and ready
- performs dining room set-up and reset
- supports dining room decorum and etiquette
- completes opening and closing checklists
- assists with table top inventories
- reviews and documents information in the Daily Log
- protects confidentiality of resident information
- practices safe food handling
- completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- maintains safe work areas
- supports dining room flow, organization, and supplies
- ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
- uses personal protective equipment and safety procedures
- participates actively in team goals and meetings
- demonstrates team member credo and principles of service
- contributes to engagement programs
- maintains compliance with training requirements
- performs other duties as assigned
