Job Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist intermittently or continuously
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
  • Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of one-year previous retail experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donor
  • Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry

Job Duties

  • Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards and donations
  • Assume responsibility for all day-to-day store operations including personnel and cash handling in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager and discuss concerns with District Sales Manager
  • Assist Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration
  • Schedule Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center and coordinate daily morning and shift change team meetings in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to Store Employees and process paperwork per Review Standards especially related to Time and Attendance compliance
  • Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and develop strategies to improve service to maximize customer experience
  • Support Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors and Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals
  • Supervise, support, and conduct reporting of program Beneficiaries if Work Therapy Assignments are put in place at the store
  • Responsible for protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property including safe funds, bank deposits, products for sale, store equipment, and building security in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager
  • Ensure building is secured during non-operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol
  • Assure safety measures are established and maintained consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations and report safety issues and incidents immediately
  • Assist Store Manager and Assistant Manager with conducting and recording mandatory Weekly Store Meetings
  • Complete all tasks assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors and Command Administration
  • May transfer or be relocated to other stores based on business needs
