Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of supervisory experience or related experience
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge of cash handling and register operation
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of safety policies
  • Ability to follow plan-o-grams and store presentation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability, and deposit control
  • Proficiency in IBM cash register functions
  • Understanding of cash, safety, and facility control policies
  • Effective interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with safety policies and practices
  • Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidelines
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred

Job Duties

  • Unload trucks according to prescribed store process
  • Follow company protocols for receiving, opening, and unpacking cartons and totes
  • Stock merchandise, rotate and face products, and build displays
  • Restock returned merchandise
  • Manage ordering for zones and assigned shipment categories
  • Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance
  • Assist customers in locating merchandise
  • Bail cardboard and manage store cleanliness including dusting and mopping floors
  • Greet customers upon store entry
  • Maintain register countertops and execute register plan-o-grams
  • Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to process purchases and bag items
  • Collect payments and make change
  • Clean front end and set up sidewalk displays
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment
  • Deliver superior customer service leadership
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Open and close store as directed by management
  • Authorize and sign for refunds and overrides in manager absence
  • Maintain cashier accountability, key control, and cash security
  • Monitor cash levels and perform drawer pulls
  • Oversee security cameras if applicable
  • Supply cashiers with change
  • Complete paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
