Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety policies and procedures
- capability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 55 pounds
- ability to stand and walk frequently
- ability to bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull as needed
- ability to operate cash register and related equipment
- availability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits and travel
- willingness to perform various store maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- understanding of safety policies and practices
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- ability to operate cash register functions
- knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service leadership
- greet and assist customers
- operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchase, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise
- follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, stock, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, build merchandise displays
- clean the store including taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and stockroom, setting up sidewalk displays
- assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms
- open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager
- perform additional duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence
