Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
- Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, dollies, and other store equipment
- Ability to climb using step ladders up to six feet
- Availability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels
- Willingness to work outdoors occasionally
- Ability to drive and provide own transportation for bank deposits, meetings, and travel to other stores
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank for deposits
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service leadership
- Greet and assist customers
- Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise
- Follow company work processes to receive, unpack, and stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, and build merchandise displays
- Clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms and stockroom
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms
- Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager
- Perform duties typically done by Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence
