Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- current Food Handler's Permit required
- must enjoy working with and handling salad bar ingredients
- should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food
- ability to read and follow a recipe
- basic math skills used to double or half a recipe
- knowledge of appropriate knife skills and cutting techniques
- ability to interpret policies and procedures
- excellent organization and planning skills
- solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills
- ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
- ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one's own success and the success of the team
- ability to make logical decisions using recognized skills

Job Duties
- Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides
- responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the salad bar
- confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
- delivers excellent customer service to all customers
- prepares items for the salad bar such as greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon
- mixes salad dressings
- mixes to-go dips
- packaging to-go soups, salads, and sandwiches
- setup and/or takedown of salad bar and soup bar
- responsible for inventory and ordering for the salad bar
- receiving and stocking of product
- teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
- provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
- assists as needed to ensure the success of the kitchen as a whole
