Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • can walk and stand for up to 8 hours
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 60 pounds without assistance
  • has current TIPs and ABRA certifications or the ability to acquire required certifications within 60 days of employment
  • 1 year(s) experience as a bartender in a fast paced, high-volume establishment
  • proficient command of the English language
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • provide outstanding memorable customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
  • knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, accurate tip-out sheets, and calculating bill amounts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • take orders, prepare, and serve food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications
  • check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages as well as handle guest complaints professionally
  • consistently follow proper protocols for handling intoxicated or disruptive guests including proper documentation and filing of incident according to ABRA/local laws
  • maintain stock and supplies, assist in monthly inventory and ordering
  • set up bar and bar area according to outlet’s standards, ensuring bars are well-stocked
  • ensure bar and restaurant area are organized and clean throughout the day
  • possess knowledge of all specialty cocktail ingredients, garnishes, and recipes and answer questions from guests and colleagues regarding menu and drinks
  • take lead in creating and setting up house cocktails that are balanced, innovative, and cost effective
  • participate and lead updated training for beverages and beverage service standards for new hires and refresher trainings ensuring all colleagues follow standards of service
  • communicate and work closely with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, orders, and product availability
  • experience and knowledge on restaurant POS systems at time of order – ALOHA preferred
  • complete closing duties
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors or managers
