Job Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED
- minimum five years of relevant security or public safety experience
- obtain Security Officer Healthcare Certification within two years
- for North Carolina team members, armed guard license within one year
- comply with NIMS certification
- possess FOID or CCW license for taser
- able to obtain Firearm Control Card in Illinois within 90 days
- acquire Stop the Bleed Certification within one year
- hold a valid driver’s license
- certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use within 90 days
- pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam
- complete 20-hour Basic Security Officer course in Illinois
- able to lift up to 35 lbs and physically patrol
- have 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20
- able to work 3rd shift schedule
- maintain instructor-level certifications if serving as a trainer
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- five years of experience in security, public safety, or customer service including emergent situation response
- Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within two years
- Armed Guard License for North Carolina teammates within one year
- NIMS Compliance Certification
- FOID Card or CCW license for taser use
- Firearm Control Card for Illinois within 90 days
- Stop the Bleed Certification within one year
- Valid driver's license
- Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use

Job Duties
- Provides security services with a customer-service approach
- inspires confidence in patients, visitors, and team members
- provides frontline shift leadership to Public Safety Officers
- prevents, responds to, and investigates workplace violence
- serves as a primary resource for de-escalation and use of force
- monitors officer compliance and manages scheduling and timecards
- makes decisions on apprehension/arrest cases
- conducts rounds and attends customer meetings
- participates in emergency response planning and execution
- responds immediately to emergencies and crisis situations
- investigates incidents and escalates complaints
- performs liaison rounding and security education
- coordinates with law enforcement and monitors prisoner guards
- conducts after action reviews
- coaches performance and participates in evaluations
- serves as the primary internal trainer
- maintains training standards and records
- assists with traffic and crowd control
- uses interview and interrogation tactics
- patrols with a community-oriented approach
