Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial or porter work
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to crouch, climb, and reach and lift heavy items
  • ability to walk properties daily, exposed to outdoor elements
  • ability to sit and use office equipment and computers
  • must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Prioritize work, provide work direction and supervise a crew of porters
  • track crew’s scheduled and complete work orders and regularly synchronize to work order tracking system
  • perform all on demand cleaning duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Maintenance and maintenance administrative staff
  • perform routine cleaning of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells and other common areas
  • restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc
  • empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
  • monitor and report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, leaks, or hazards
