Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified phlebotomy course strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in essential phlebotomy functions
- Leadership abilities in phlebotomy duties
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of specimen collection and laboratory procedures
Job Qualifications

- Leadership qualities during performance of phlebotomy duties
- Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, patient families, and vendors
- Proficient phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills
Job Duties
- Oversee blood collection and specimen receiving processes on assigned shift
- Manage workflow at the specimen receiving table
- Dispatch phlebotomists as needed throughout the facility
- Assist Phlebotomy Supervisor with management of phlebotomy staff
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained and maintain mastery of collection procedures
- Participate in team planning to solve departmental challenges and quality issues
- Assist with phlebotomy student training and new employee orientation
