Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an independent restaurant or hotel environment
  • Ability to lead and support a pastry team
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to prepare desserts according to standardized recipes
  • Capable of performing inventory checks and managing baking supplies
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pastry cook in an independent restaurant or hotel environment
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a culinary setting
  • Strong knowledge of dessert production in a commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work in a high-volume banquet and restaurant dessert environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
  • Culinary certification or equivalent education preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow standardized recipes for all banquet desserts ensuring product quality and standards
  • Prepare all required banquet and outlet desserts according to the provided specifications
  • Ensure desserts are completed and ready for delivery in a timely order
  • Perform daily inventory checks of all core baking ingredients and products
  • Support the Executive Pastry Chef oversee team performance and daily task completion
  • Provide guidance and support as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
  • Ensure all food handling procedures align with health and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation while enforcing sanitation protocols
