Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • demonstrated ability to decorate pastries and cakes
  • weekend availability
  • ability to work varied shifts
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • experience working with cakes, breads and various pastries
  • ability to decorate pastries and cakes creatively
  • previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong leadership and training skills
  • excellent time management
  • adaptability in work schedule including weekends and varied shifts

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates, prepares, produces and bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
