Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in a high volume kitchen/bakery
  • weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • ability to ensure high-quality production
  • leadership and supervisory capability
  • knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen/bakery working with cakes, breads, and various pastries
  • previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • creativity in pastry decoration
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates/prepares/produces/bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries/cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
