Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • ability to maintain high quality production standards
  • knowledge of health safety sanitation standards
  • leadership skills to supervise and train staff
  • strong creativity and attention to detail
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • experience working with cakes breads and various pastries
  • ability to decorate pastries and cakes creatively
  • knowledge of health safety and sanitation standards
  • leadership experience in supervising and training staff
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
  • experience in a hotel or resort is a plus

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates prepares produces bakes breads rolls breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains supervises schedules and assists in evaluating staff
