Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • basic knowledge of health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to train and supervise kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • ability to work weekends and varied shifts
  • previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • creativity and skill in decorating pastries and cakes
  • strong supervisory and team leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates, prepares, produces, bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
