Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen/bakery
  • Weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • Knowledge of health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Ability to train, supervise, schedule and evaluate staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen/bakery working with cakes, breads and various pastries
  • Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Demonstrated creativity and skill in pastry decoration
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • Creates, prepares, produces, bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • Decorates pastries/cakes with creativity and skill
  • Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
