Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of pastry production techniques
  • ability to decorate cakes and pastries creatively
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • experience working with cakes, breads and various pastries
  • previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • creativity in pastry decoration and production
  • knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • leadership and supervisory skills

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates, prepares, produces, bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
