Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • Weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • Ability to ensure high-quality production
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Leadership capability to train and supervise staff

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • Experience working with cakes, breads, and various pastries
  • Creativity in decorating pastries and cakes
  • Leadership skills including training and supervising staff
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • Creates, prepares, produces, bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • Decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
  • Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products and ensures proper storage
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
