Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
- Weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
- Ability to maintain high-quality production standards
- Knowledge of health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Ability to train, supervise and schedule staff
- Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
- Previous hotel or resort experience preferred
- Skilled in cake decoration and pastry production
- Ability to manage and supervise a kitchen team
- Strong creativity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation
- Excellent teamwork and leadership abilities
Job Duties
- Participates in pastry production
- Creates, prepares, produces, bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
- Decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
- Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
