Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in high volume kitchen or bakery
  • availability to work weekends and varied shifts
  • ability to maintain high standards of food production and quality control
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery
  • experience working with cakes, breads, and various pastries
  • weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
  • previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
  • ability to ensure high-quality production
  • strong creativity and skill in pastry decoration
  • supervisory and staff training capabilities
  • knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Participates in pastry production
  • creates, prepares, produces, and bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
  • decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
  • maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage
  • ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
