Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in a high volume kitchen or bakery
- Weekend availability and ability to work varied shifts
- Ability to train and supervise staff
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years pastry experience within a high volume kitchen or bakery working with cakes, breads, and various pastries
- Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus
- Ability to decorate pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Participates in pastry production
- Creates, prepares, produces and bakes breads, rolls, breakfast pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for restaurants and banquets
- Decorates pastries and cakes with creativity and skill
- Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff
