Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years recent experience as baker or pastry cook
  • At least one year supervisory experience
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Card
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • No felony theft or stealing convictions
  • Must pass pre employment drug alcohol screen
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain gaming license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years recent experience as baker or pastry cook
  • At least one year supervisory experience as bakery or pastry lead or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate read and write basic English
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment utensils tools and machinery
  • Knowledge of safe kitchen practices
  • Ability to create and maintain prep sheets and logs
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to organize and coordinate team tasks
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Knowledge of food preparation presentation methods techniques and standards
  • Knowledge of basic foods and their uses
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to teach culinary methods techniques and principles
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of management

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to the menu and business demand
  • Uses and learns proper knife skills cooking and baking techniques methods and terminology
  • Understands and follows standardized recipes in all food venues and outlets
  • Clearly communicates with Pastry Chefs and subordinate team members
  • Maintains and communicates food products needed to ensure safe par levels and proper stock levels
  • Maintains daily tracking logs
  • Delegates assigned tasks to pastry cooks
  • Maintains a clean organized and sanitized work area while following all health and food safety regulations
  • Ensures all assigned venue areas are taken care of and duties completed
  • Ensures venues are ready to open by designated management times
  • Maintains cleanliness organization and labeling of all food storage areas
  • Keeps equipment tools floors work stations and food prep areas clean organized and free from clutter
  • Works according to established casino procedures
  • Communicates well with team maintaining a positive professional environment
  • Contributes to team effort and accomplishes tasks
  • Performs other duties as required
