Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years recent experience as a baker or pastry cook
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain gaming license
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in basic English
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to safely use and administer cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years recent experience as a baker or pastry cook
  • At least one year of supervisory experience as a bakery or pastry lead or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in basic English
  • Ability to create and maintain daily prep sheets and logs
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform in a professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to organize and coordinate tasks amongst team members
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to teach culinary methods and clearly communicate to all levels of management

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to the menu and demand
  • Uses and learns proper knife skills, cooking and baking techniques, methods and terminology
  • Understands and follows standardized recipes for all food venues and outlets
  • Communicates clearly with Pastry Chefs and subordinate team members
  • Maintains and communicates food/product needs to Room Pastry Chefs to ensure proper stock levels
  • Maintains daily tracking logs
  • Delegates assigned tasks to pastry cooks
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area following all health/food safety regulations
  • Ensures assigned venue/outlet/kitchen areas are taken care of and duties completed
  • Prepares food storage areas to be clean, organized, labeled and dated
  • Maintains all equipment, tools, floors, and work stations free from clutter and trash
  • Works according to established procedures of the Casino
  • Communicates professionally with team members
  • Contributes to team efforts and accomplishes tasks
  • Performs other duties as required
