Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years pastry cook experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling
  • Manual and finger dexterity for handling tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs
  • Available to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Dependable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • 2-5 years pastry cook experience
  • Culinary and pastry arts certified a plus
  • Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time
  • Physical ability to perform bending, stooping, carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling motions
  • Manual and finger dexterity to handle culinary tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs
  • Availability to work morning or evening shifts, weekdays and weekends during busy season
  • Positive, team-oriented mentality
  • Dependable

Job Duties

  • Organize and set up kitchen bakery station to be prepared for service
  • Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing bakery items
  • Adhere to specified recipes and standards for the restaurant and banquet events
  • Review and keep abreast of all banquet event orders for next day requirements for functions and restaurant menu
  • Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations
  • Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • Ensure cleanliness of all bakery related machines, including freezers and refrigerators, tables and storage to meet health department requirements
  • Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by Pastry and Executive Chef
  • Assure that food product is made with process integrity to produce consistent outcomes
  • Demonstrate dependability by showing up to work on scheduled shifts, on time, and willing to go above and beyond to assure member satisfaction
