Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in pastry or baking roles
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions
- Compliance with company uniform and safety standards including wearing non-slip shoes
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to operate kitchen tools and equipment
- Must be dependable and demonstrate teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Must have previous experience decorating cakes
- Must have previous experience in high volume catering
- Fine dining experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of kitchen tools and pastry techniques
Job Duties
- Assist in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods as directed by the Pastry Chef
- Measure, mix, and portion ingredients according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Ensure the pastry station is clean, organized, and fully stocked during shifts
- Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations, including cleaning equipment and tools
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the Pastry Chef or other culinary leads
- Monitor and report inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Be available for shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Assist with special projects or catering events when needed
- Perform other related duties as needed
