Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in pastry or baking roles
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Compliance with company uniform and safety standards including wearing non-slip shoes
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to operate kitchen tools and equipment
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience decorating cakes
  • Must have previous experience in high volume catering
  • Fine dining experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of kitchen tools and pastry techniques

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods as directed by the Pastry Chef
  • Measure, mix, and portion ingredients according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
  • Ensure the pastry station is clean, organized, and fully stocked during shifts
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations, including cleaning equipment and tools
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the Pastry Chef or other culinary leads
  • Monitor and report inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Be available for shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Assist with special projects or catering events when needed
  • Perform other related duties as needed
