Job Requirements

  • Mature judgement, tact, discretion and confidentiality
  • professional and pleasant representation of the corporation
  • must submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background clearance
  • must provide proof of COVID-19 and booster, MMR, TDAP, Hepatitis B vaccinations and TB test
  • must have BLS/CPR certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year experience as medical receptionist or general office work
  • bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • BLS/CPR certification

Job Duties

  • Organizes and oversees front office staff and patient processing
  • designates front office staff working schedules
  • assures excellent customer service and efficient patient flow
  • manages patient scheduling, registration, cash flow and billing procedures
  • ensures communication between front office triage and back office
  • conducts eligibility interviews to determine method of payment
  • obtains eligibility information for public programs such as CHDP
  • copies Medi-Cal stickers, medical records and other correspondence
  • receives telephone calls, screens and directs them, records messages
  • types routine correspondence and patient files
  • performs other tasks assigned by Program Manager
