Job Duties

  • Oversee and support front desk staff
  • Check-in, patient and insurance verification, registration, scheduling appointments, check-out, referral scheduling, co-pay and balance collection, scanning, phone calls, create telephone encounters
  • Maintain high level of patient care and act as an educational resource for the front desk staff
  • Ensure staff are greeting all visitors and maintaining desired level of service
  • Help training new front desk staff members
  • Maintain staff schedules and coverage
  • Make outgoing calls to patients that need to schedule appointments
  • Advise team of any new information learned from manager
  • Order supplies for front desk and shared kitchen
  • Take the lead on helping to de-escalate or service recovery
  • Help keep proper protocol and structure
  • Apply good judgement in decision making
  • Keep open communication with staff and manager
