Job Duties
- Oversee and support front desk staff
- Check-in, patient and insurance verification, registration, scheduling appointments, check-out, referral scheduling, co-pay and balance collection, scanning, phone calls, create telephone encounters
- Maintain high level of patient care and act as an educational resource for the front desk staff
- Ensure staff are greeting all visitors and maintaining desired level of service
- Help training new front desk staff members
- Maintain staff schedules and coverage
- Make outgoing calls to patients that need to schedule appointments
- Advise team of any new information learned from manager
- Order supplies for front desk and shared kitchen
- Take the lead on helping to de-escalate or service recovery
- Help keep proper protocol and structure
- Apply good judgement in decision making
- Keep open communication with staff and manager
