Job Requirements
- Must be able to traverse multiple areas of the building including frequently moving between floors
- Continuous reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping, and wiping
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Two years of experience in a lead cook role
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
- Ability to follow production schedules
- Strong work ethic and professional integrity
- Ability to manage and supervise culinary staff in absence of chef
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred
- ServSafe certification highly desired
- Two years of experience as a lead cook in high-volume catering highly desired
- Demonstrated knowledge in catering production and service
- Demonstrated knowledge in supervising kitchen production
- Knowledge of buffet setups and executing attended stations
- Ability to prepare diverse and ever-changing menu items
- High competency in maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation
- Intermediate knife and culinary skills
- Ability to work respectfully and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced, quality-driven environment
- Knowledge of Fox Theatre, local and state safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene
Job Duties
- Assist in executing all culinary requirements for the Marquee Club, specialty Concession offerings, and in-house events and meetings
- Follow the production schedule and supervise kitchen production in the absence of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Assist in the completion of the regular inventory of products
- Assist in the completion of daily production updates
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols when handling, storing, prepping, cooking, and serving all food items
- Maintain kitchen equipment and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
- Work carving stations, action stations, and attended stations in a professional manner
