Job Requirements
- Previous experience in non-fast food restaurant and/or training in culinary school
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment
- Availability to work irregular hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years old
- Ability to perform with minimum supervision
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- U.S. work authorization
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in non-fast food restaurant or culinary school training
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and passion for guest service
Job Duties
- Report to work on time according to posted schedule in specified uniform
- Open and close the kitchen properly and follow opening and closing checklists
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately and review recipe modifications with Executive Chef
- Test food being cooked by taste testing and taking food temperatures following ServSafe guidelines
- Perform food preparation and cooking skills including measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving, and portioning foods
- Monitor food quantities, quality and display during preparation
- Stock work-station appropriately for each shift
- Know the menu including ingredients and how to build each dish to order
- Date and rotate all food containers and ensure proper storage temperatures
- Clean workspace after each shift including sanitizing station
- Communicate any co-worker problems to management
- Respect all co-workers and managers
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote a fun work environment
- Represent the company positively internally and externally
