Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience in an upscale dining or private club setting
  • Leadership abilities or experience mentoring kitchen staff
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and culinary techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience, preferably in a private club, resort, or upscale dining environment
  • Leadership experience or ability to mentor and support kitchen team members
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and culinary procedures
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and member expectations
  • Lead and support line staff during service to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness
  • Assist the Sous Chef in training, mentoring, and developing kitchen staff
  • Set up, stock, and maintain workstations and ensure readiness for service
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency across all stations
  • Ensure adherence to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate effectively with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams
