Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven cooking experience in an upscale dining or private club setting
- Leadership abilities or experience mentoring kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and culinary techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience, preferably in a private club, resort, or upscale dining environment
- Leadership experience or ability to mentor and support kitchen team members
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and culinary procedures
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and member expectations
- Lead and support line staff during service to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness
- Assist the Sous Chef in training, mentoring, and developing kitchen staff
- Set up, stock, and maintain workstations and ensure readiness for service
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency across all stations
- Ensure adherence to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams
