Job Requirements
- high school diploma
- minimum 1 year culinary experience
- ability to read and follow recipes
- good communication skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- capability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- flexibility in shift work including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma
- minimum 1 year culinary experience
- degree from accredited culinary institution is a plus
- ServSafe certification or similar is a plus
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to manage stressful and emergency situations
- ability to read, write, convert measurements, and follow recipes
- knowledge or ability to learn health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- flexibility with shift availability including mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- manage line, prep, and dish area to ensure timely task completion
- provide courteous and friendly support to vendors and employees
- promote teamwork among all employees
- be proficient on all stations including setup, prep, cooking, plating, and timely execution
- engage staff to properly complete tasks
- check station readiness for service
- ensure proper product rotation using FIFO
- manage kitchen equipment maintenance
- participate in new hire and ongoing training
- communicate with chefs regarding staff, product, or other issues
- oversee delivery check-in and storage
- serve as a role model for punctuality, attendance, attitude, and job performance
- comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
- oversee kitchen operations in absence of a chef
