Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic food safety knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- 6 to 12 months of related restaurant experience or training
- Food Handler's Certification or ability to acquire
- Flexibility in schedule highly preferred but not required
- General administrative and computer skills strongly preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
Job Duties
- Oversee all culinary functions including food purchasing, receiving, preparation, and quality standards
- Train hourly culinary team members on recipes, food safety, equipment, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure all menu items meet or exceed standard of excellence
- Maintain full knowledge of all recipes including seasonal offerings
- Complete all role responsibilities with limited supervision while demonstrating strong leadership and motivating others
- Handle team member disputes with empathy and escalate as necessary
- Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures including daily checklists and side work assignments
- Facilitate receiving and maintenance of incoming deliveries
- Conduct weekly inventory
- Keep kitchen and restaurant areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists
- Assist with patio setup and maintenance of outside fixtures and seating area if applicable
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
