Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No felony, theft, or stealing convictions
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and understand safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of steward or kitchen experience
- Experience in a large multi-outlet casino or hotel preferred
- Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities and equipment
- Knowledge of FDA health code and sanitation best practices
- Ability to train and lead a diverse workforce
- Ability to obtain Food Handlers card and TIPS certification
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Ability to monitor quality control and safety standards
- Ability to work with multiple venues and meet operational goals
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with all TOGE policies and internal controls
- Lead stewarding functions to promote cleanliness, sanitation, and health regulation compliance
- Train Kitchen Stewards on safety and sanitation
- Prepare and maintain kitchen equipment for shifts
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs
- Communicate needs to supervisors to maintain equipment and materials
- Promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with leadership and other departments
- Assist with food dish-up and set-up duties as needed
- Provide coaching and guidance to Kitchen Stewards on cleaning schedules and performance
- Support brand service behaviors to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Work to meet performance and team goals
- Build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Oversee food handling and sanitation standards
- Monitor and maintain quality control and safety standards
- Lead training on kitchen equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Demonstrate new techniques and equipment
- Model enterprise standards and lead by example
