Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years custodial housekeeping experience
- Some experience in special events management or equivalent education and experience
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors
- Safety-sensitive position requiring background check and drug testing
- Ability to supervise and delegate tasks effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Proficiency with communication tools and online platforms
- Ability to perform minor maintenance and operate light machinery

Job Duties
- Assist fellow leadership in maintaining inventory, scheduling, and providing coverage
- Drive zoo carts to deliver supplies and perform duties
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping including restrooms and floors
- Maintain outdoor cleanliness by picking up litter, hosing down areas, and clearing pathways
- Provide quality customer service and represent the zoo professionally
- Oversee and delegate tasks to full-time and part-time team members
- Assist with the hiring process and training of new hires
- Respond to safety and operational concerns via radio calls
- Prepare and delegate reports and supply orders
- Support special event set-up, duration, and clean-up including furniture arrangement
- Manage online communications such as email, master calendar, and SharePoint
- Attend special event meetings
- Operate light machinery and perform minor building repairs
- Assist Junior Curators and Volunteers in their daily activities
- Promote sustainability initiatives and green practices
- Participate in conservation efforts such as waste audits and lake clean-ups
