Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work specified hours including Monday through Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions satisfactorily
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Related experience and/or training in housekeeping or environmental services
  • Leadership experience in housekeeping
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform cleaning duties
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Knowledge of safety principles and regulations related to healthcare facilities
  • Commitment to uphold confidentiality and professional standards

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in working areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participates in all assigned cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies including paper towels and toilet paper
  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintains good customer relations by demonstrating a cooperative working relationship with employees, departments, coworkers, and other pertinent staff
  • Manages workload and delegates tasks as needed to other staff members
  • Maintains competency and serves as a resource to staff members when leadership is not available
