Job Requirements
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM shift
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform duties including cleaning and moving furniture
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good interpersonal relationships
- Knowledge of safety principles and regulations including CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Capability to serve as a resource and leader in the absence of higher leadership
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Related experience and/or training in housekeeping or cleaning services
- Leadership experience in housekeeping
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Commitment to uphold confidentiality and safety standards
Job Duties
- Maintains a clean and neat environment in working areas such as patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
- Participates in all cleaning activities including dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
- Keeps assigned areas fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintains stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
- Maintains good customer relations by demonstrating a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with employees, departments, coworkers, and pertinent staff
- Manages workload and delegates tasks as needed to other staff members
- Maintains competency and serves as a resource to staff members as needed
