Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in housekeeping or 1 year in luxury hotel housekeeping

Job Duties

  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties
  • lead a team of housekeepers assigned to clean suites
  • assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards
  • assign room assignments and public areas for cleaning to the housekeepers and house persons in absence of manager or supervisor
  • organize and take inventory of housekeeping storages
  • communicate with supervisors and managers on job performance without delivering disciplinary actions
  • ensure housekeeping staff follow guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • discuss work topics or problems discreetly with coworkers, supervisors, or managers
  • speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language
  • exchange information effectively with employees using electronic devices
  • perform regular housekeeping duties including cleaning suites, public area cleaning, house person duties, and deep cleaning projects
  • perform other duties as assigned
