Job Requirements

  • Ability to speak and hear

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience
  • 2 years in housekeeping or 1 year in a luxury hotel housekeeping

Job Duties

  • Serves as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties
  • Leads a team of housekeepers assigned to clean suites
  • Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards
  • Has the authority to assign room assignments and public areas for cleaning to the housekeepers and house persons when the manager or supervisor is not present
  • Organizes and takes a close inventory of all housekeeping storages
  • Communicates with supervisors and managers on job performance but does not deliver any disciplinary actions
  • Ensure that all housekeeping staff follow the guidelines and SOPs for their day-to-day duties
  • Discusses work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property
  • Speaks to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language
  • Talks with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information
  • Exchanges information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email)
  • Performs all the regular tasks of a housekeeper or house person which include, but not limited to, cleaning suites, house person duties, public area cleaning, and deep cleaning projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned
