Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 5-7 years experience in housekeeping in hotel commercial offices or private residence

Job Duties

  • Lead and work as part of a cohesive housekeeping team with respect for family guests and coworkers
  • provide a genuine sense of hospitality to family and guests
  • promote a warm friendly and respectful atmosphere within the housekeeping team
  • address family guests and staff concerns and requests quickly and follow through to completion
  • observe all house rules and regulations governing use of client facilities
  • maintain supply inventory
  • work safely following OSHA requirements
  • perform general housekeeping duties in main residence guest houses and other buildings
  • report facility defects to estate manager
  • spot clean rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies
  • mop and vacuum floors
  • sweep interior and exterior porches
  • remove debris from driveways garages and pool areas
  • dust surfaces and objects
  • empty wastebaskets and recycling sorting recyclables
  • sweep scrub wax and polish floors using appropriate tools
  • keep storage areas stocked clean and tidy
  • polish silver accessories and metalwork
  • wash walls ceilings and woodwork waxing and polishing as necessary
  • dust and clean screens and windows
  • clean dishes glasses silver and cooking utensils
  • maintain kitchen equipment
  • sort count and store clean linens
  • pick up sort wash dry fold iron and mend clothes and linens
  • hand wash and arrange dry cleaning
  • maintain and sanitize bathrooms sinks and toilets
  • replenish guest supplies and amenities including food and toiletries
  • deliver items to guest houses
  • care for and feed pets
  • carry linens towels and cleaning supplies
  • clean and prepare fireplaces
  • strip and make beds regularly
  • maintain cleanliness of exercise equipment
  • organize household areas
  • prepare rooms for meetings and social or business functions
  • perform deep cleaning on scheduled basis
  • assist estate manager with scheduling housekeeping staff
  • quality control and productivity of team
  • order supplies
  • specialty shopping and errand running
  • inventory checking and stocking properties
  • receive training in basic operation of AV lighting HVAC security systems
  • attend relevant meetings
  • assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
