Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate a variety of cleaning tools and equipment safely
  • General knowledge of cleaning products and their uses
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear frequently
  • Ability to lift and move more than 50 pounds frequently

Job Duties

  • Supervise and develop the housekeeping staff
  • Purchase and maintain the inventory needed on-site to perform daily maintenance duties
  • Maintain a monthly housekeeping budget
  • Compile a variety of reports relating to the housekeeping operations of the property
  • Respond to emergency housekeeping calls
  • Supervise and coordinate work shifts for the housekeeping staff as applicable
  • Evaluate the performance of the housekeeping staff as applicable
  • Assist in the hiring and training of necessary personnel for the Housekeeping Departments
  • Clean business office, residential units, public and common areas to meet health standards
  • Use power cleaning tools and appropriate safety techniques
  • Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays and transport waste to disposal areas
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
  • Disinfect equipment and supplies
  • Perform unit turnovers including cleaning appliances, bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and countertops
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
