Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role
- experience supervising staff
- basic computer skills
- ability to operate a variety of power cleaning tools
- general knowledge of common cleaning products and appropriate uses
- ability to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds frequently
- ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- availability to work Monday through Friday with some weekend overtime and emergency situations

- ability to operate a variety of power cleaning tools safely
- general knowledge of common cleaning products and their appropriate uses
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- ability to evaluate staff performance effectively

Job Duties
- Supervise and develop the housekeeping staff
- purchase and maintain the inventory needed on-site to perform daily maintenance duties
- maintain a monthly housekeeping budget
- compile a variety of reports relating to the housekeeping operations of the property
- respond to emergency housekeeping calls
- supervise and coordinate work shifts for the housekeeping staff
- evaluate the performance of the housekeeping staff
- assist in the hiring and training of necessary personnel for the Housekeeping Departments
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other work areas to meet health standards
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers
- empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport waste to disposal areas
- sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors using appropriate tools
- dust and polish furniture and equipment
- keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork including waxing and polishing
- disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
- perform general cleaning of units during turnover including appliances and bathrooms
- perform all other duties as assigned
