Job Requirements
- High school diploma equivalent preferred
- one year related host or hostess experience preferred
- meet state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol if applicable
- current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively and present information to individuals and small groups
- ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors
- desire to contribute to a productive work environment maintaining a positive attitude
- self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision
- demonstrate initiative and sound judgment
- good time management and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion
- monitor the dining area and select tables for guest seating depending on food server activity and guest comfort
- create a welcoming atmosphere by having knowledge of the resort facility and dining area and respond to guest questions about the menu and resort services
- answer the telephone and take reservations and to-go orders
- work as team with food servers and assist with clearing plates and refilling drinks according to service etiquette
- handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and returning correct change
- notice and report potential safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor
- provide training in serving and clearing etiquette and facility procedures
- perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
