Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- food service experience preferred
- customer service experience preferred
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
- must be able to stand for up to four hours
- ability to work in extreme temperatures
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
- must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
- regular attendance and punctuality
- compliance with company policies and safety standards
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to work varying schedules
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required
- food service experience preferred
- customer service experience preferred
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
- must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- excellent customer relations skills
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- basic computer skills
- basic computational ability
- ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
- knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- self-driven and able to work independently
- strong issue resolution and analytical skills with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Great and welcome all hotel guests and customers
- manage reservations
- coordinate with other hosts and train new hosts
- assist with preparations and execution for VIP reservations
- work with management on special events
- escort guests to their tables and present the menu to them
- communicate with the wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure guests' experience meets company standards
- perform a variety of duties including refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas
- perform other duties in a team effort during downtime such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, preparing food for To-go areas, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments
- perform all other responsibilities as directed by management
- assist with guest inquiries
- follow all company safety and security policies
- report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
