Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education
- Food service experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- Must be able to stand for up to four hours
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Must possess good communication and organizational skills
- Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Food service experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- Basic computational ability
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Self-driven and able to work independently
- Strong issue resolution and analytical skills with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Great and welcome all hotel guests and customers
- Manage reservations
- Coordinate with other hosts and train new hosts
- Assist with preparations and execution for VIP reservations
- Work with management on special events
- Escort guests to their tables and present the menu
- Communicate with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure the guests experience meets company standards
- Perform a variety of duties including refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating and serving areas
- Perform other duties in a team effort during downtime such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, preparing food for To-go areas, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments
- Perform all other responsibilities as directed by management
- Perform supportive functions such as assisting with guest inquiries and following safety policies
