Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • Must be able to stand for up to four hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must possess good communication and organizational skills
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Great and welcome all hotel guests and customers
  • Manage reservations
  • Coordinate with other hosts and train new hosts
  • Assist with preparations and execution for VIP reservations
  • Work with management on special events
  • Escort guests to their tables and present the menu
  • Communicate with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure the guests experience meets company standards
  • Perform a variety of duties including refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating and serving areas
  • Perform other duties in a team effort during downtime such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, preparing food for To-go areas, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments
  • Perform all other responsibilities as directed by management
  • Perform supportive functions such as assisting with guest inquiries and following safety policies
