Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • food service experience preferred
  • customer service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
  • good communication skills
  • attention to detail
  • adherence to grooming standards
  • regular attendance and compliance with company rules and schedules

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • food service experience preferred
  • customer service experience preferred
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
  • self-driven and able to work independently
  • strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language

Job Duties

  • Great and welcome all hotel guests and customers
  • manage reservations
  • coordinate with other hosts and train new hosts
  • assist with preparations and execution for VIP reservations
  • work with management on special events
  • escort guests to their tables and present the menu to them
  • communicate with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure guests' experience meets company standards
  • perform a variety of duties including refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating and serving areas
  • perform other duties in a team effort during downtime including rolling silverware, expediting food orders, preparing food for the To-go areas, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments
  • perform all other responsibilities as directed by management
  • assist with guest inquiries
  • follow all company and safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
